What We Actually Check
We examine every single point the MOT tester will look at.
Brakes, Pads, discs, fluid, and handbrake. Everything gets tested for wear and performance. Weak braking is dangerous and fails instantly.
All Lights: Headlights, indicators, brake lamps, side lights, and number plate lights. We test each one. Check the aim of your headlights too. Wrong angle means failure.
Tires: Tread depth must be 1.6mm minimum. We measure all four. Look for cuts, damage, and uneven wear. Check pressure matches your van’s requirements.
Steering and Suspension: Worn bushes, loose joints, damaged shock absorbers. We check them properly. Test suspension components. These affect how your van handles.
Exhaust and Emissions Leaks, rust, loose brackets. We inspect the whole system. Run an emissions test to check your van meets legal limits for its age.

Underbody and Structure Rust kills VW campervans. We get underneath and check the chassis, sills, and floor panels. Look for corrosion that weakens the structure or creates sharp edges.
