Project Moments
This well-kept and much loved 1976 T2 is a regular visitor for mechanical servicing (twice a year as it does a lot of miles around the UK) but earlier this summer it arrived for minor rust repair and a full repaint.
All windows, lights, trim were removed before the small rust bubbles were sanded back, treated and where necessary new metal welded in. The whole vehicle then received many coats of Sage Green and Pastel White 2K gloss from our friends at CARS in Latchingdon. Back on the road being used regularly and making the owner and others smile.
A regular visitor to the continent this Syncro was looking its age with faded, dull paint after many years being used regularly for weekend green lane-ing and 4×4 competitions. The team dismantled it for a full window out & trim, lights and bumpers off repaint in the original colour. It has since had a busy summer all over Europe and even off road but strictly where there are no scratchy hedges!
This adventure ready camper is often carrying kayaks and bikes to the hilly areas of Britain and the owner fancied a refresh to the tired red. In just a couple of weeks we repaired a few bumps and scrapes and gave it a new lease of life with shiny gloss black waistcoat and repainted wheels – there’s no losing it in the mountains now!
This 2017 Peugeot campervan suffered a nasty collision with an odd-shaped post wrecking the rear nearside quarter and sliding door. The owner could not find anyone in west London who was interested in helping, presumably put off by the idea of working on a vehicle with carpeted walls, water pipes and gas hoses running around in the comfortable interior.
When she found us we said yes bring it up for us to see. As the pictures show we took the job on and pulled the worst of it out, sourced a new door (from a plain van so cut a new window aperture in it and lined it with insulation) before painting it all the same original Peugeot white, added the trim and gave it a service for good measure. We then welcomed the customer to take it away for more adventures and a post-free future!
